In 2021, Texas CPS had 262,420 alleged victims of and 68,157 confirmed victims of child abuse and neglect.
-
Texas DPS serves over 26,000 children removed from their homes each year.
-
Each year in the Fort Bend, Brazoria, Harris, and Galveston Counties; over 6,000 children are removed from their homes by DPS, over 1,000 are waiting for adoption, and over 200 are placed in foster/adoptive homes.
-
In 2018, there were over 212,000 victims of family violence in Texas.
-
1 in 15 children are exposed to domestic violence each year, and 90% of these children are eyewitnesses to this violence.
-
In 2019, there were 46,082 domestic abuse cases in the Fort Bend, Brazoria, Harris, and Galveston Counties.
-
There are a total of 23 domestic abuse facilities serving in the Fort Bend, Brazoria, Harris, and Galveston Counties.

Bay Area Turning Point served 145 children in 2020.

Fort Bend Women’s Center served 1,758 survivors and children in 2020.

Houston Area Women’s Center served over 1,000 children in 2020.

There are nearly 234,000 adult victims of labor trafficking in Texas at any given time. The study also showed approximately 79,000 minor and youth victims of sex trafficking in Texas at any given time. The U.S. Department of State estimates that 14,500 to 17,500 people are trafficked into the United States each year.

In Texas alone, there are approximately 313,000 victims of human trafficking at any given moment

Texas had the second-highest number of human trafficking cases in America in 2019 with 1080 reported cases.
